Meg Fenderson presented  ideas about
“How to host a BIG Regatta”, chairpersons were assigned in the following areas: race/budget/volunteers/logistics/crane & launch /marketing sponsorship/fund raising ($ & give aways)/food & beverage
Most of the regatta planning was completed very early on- before May.
To keep the cost down (under $10,000), pot luck dinner the first night when launching at HBS and than larger gathering night of the first day of racing

Pros and Cons of  combining J24 and E22 regattas
Pros (+)
+be impressive to see all the boats out racing at once
+costs sharing and savings
+fewer things that need to be done by individual fleets
Cons (-)
-logistics, on land, PYC (the crews of the J24 sailors already fill the available area)
-on the water logistics: 2 starting areas/committee boats vs issues
boats with different sailing characteristics, fleets interfering with
each other and fewer races overall
-J24 willing to open up their regatta to another OD fleet

Seth Sprague, Treasury report over $3900 in account-
end of the year after expenses a balance of about $3000 in bank
Proposal for 2011 dues: $150-

Motion approved for the continuation of the professional race committee at a cost of $720 (season)
Unanimous vote to pass motion: this breaks down to $40 per boat for the season
