Fleet 27 concludes 2009 Tuesday night series

In a fitting end to an excellent season of racing, the sun set during the last downwind leg of the series last night, and the wind died right as the last boat was crossing the finish line. The Etchells sailors paddled our ways back to our moorings while some fortunate boats were towed home by friends, as we reminisced about the great races we all sailed together and started looking forward to another season next year. Schadenfreude won the evening, edging out Black Sheep in second on a tiebreak, followed by Fuzzy Logic, and Schadenfreude won the Autumn Series, with Fuzzy Logic in second place and Foto Finish in third. Onward to some weekend racing, the fleet awards party and wintry thoughts of racing in the summer of 2010....

Fleet 27 concludes spring series

The Casco Bay Etchells fleet concluded the Spring Series last night with a fine night of racing in excellent conditions.  Three races were sailed on one of the longest days of the year under sunny skies with 8 to 10 knots of breeze.  The night was won by Schadenfreude, with Fuzzy Logic in second place and Tango in third.
